1. How does booking a Celebrity work?
Once you've given us an indication of the Performer(s) you're interested in booking, we will provide you with preliminary details on costs and exclusions within a maximum of one working day. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have at this stage through regular correspondence. We generally do not check the availability of Celebs upon each and every enquiry we receive, as the feasibility of a particular performer is usually dictated by factors such as budget and suitability, which is often only established after some correspondence between ourselves and the client.
When feasibility has been established, we will be happy to check availability. This is a process which often involves following up on various provisional bookings and other diary follow ups, and although we do go out of our way to be able to guarantee availability ASAP, this process does occasionally take up to a few days. You will be kept updated though. Once availability has been established, we will let you know and provisionally book the performer for your event. A provisional booking can be held for strictly 5 working days (or 24 hours in case the performer receives another booking request for the date), so you would need to let us know ASAP if you wish to confirm.
Once you have accepted the quotation and requested a booking to be confirmed, we will issue an invoice and contract which needs to be signed and returned to our office within 3 working days. Upon confirmation, we require a 50% deposit on the performance fee, plus the total costs for flights and accommodation, where applicable. Back to top
2. What are the costs involved?
Celebrities' individual fees vary greatly; you will pay anything between +- R10,000.00 and R50,000.00 ex VAT for a star to appear at your event. Apart from the appearance fee, you would also need to cover all production costs (stage, lighting, sound equipment, etc), travel costs (depending on the location of your event in relation to the performer's home base), and hospitality expenses (food, beverages, accommodation, etc). We are happy to coordinate travel and miscellaneous bookings on your behalf, and will quote for these on request. We will send you a comprehensive quote on the celeb(s) that you are interested in, detailing all possible exclusions, so there should be no surprises! Upon acceptance of quote, you will receive a contract further detailing all costs. Back to top
3. How far in advance should I make a booking?
Whenever you start planning your event, is a good time to start enquiring! Many of our top celebs have packed diaries; some are fully booked months in advance. However, this is not always the case, as many celebrities choose their events carefully and are quite readily available for events they feel they are suitable for. Also, some celebs prefer not to book months in advance, as it is not always possible for them to know what their international movements will be. With actors and presenters, production schedules often prevent them from guaranteeing availability more than a month or so in advance. These are all factors that depend on the individual celeb; all the relevant information will be communicated to you. Back to top
4. Our event is for charity; will the celebrity be prepared to appear free of charge or at a reduced rate?
As an rule, Five Seasons Entertainment does not ask celebrities to donate their time. As we are a non-exclusive booking agency and not a management company, we unfortunately do not have the capacity to process the numerous charitable requests we receive on a daily basis. We are happy to work on charity events where a sponsor is involved and able to cover all costs for the celebrity. We would then correspond with the representative from the sponsoring company, who would be expected to sign our contract and arrange payments as per our normal booking procedure. Back to top
5. How do I know which celebrity would be most suitable for my event?
Some clients know exactly which celeb they want at their event, but others need some guidance. We are more than happy to provide guidance in this field, but we would need you to give us as much information as possible in order to suggest suitable options. For example, we would want to know more about your company, the number and demographics of the guests that will be attending, your approximate budget, details of any sponsors involved, etc. Please fill out our CELEB REQUEST FORM in order for us to get a good understanding of your needs. You can peruse our comprehensive online roster by using the navigation on the top left of this page. We do take great care to keep our online roster updated, but it might just be that some of our latest additions are not yet listed at the time you visit our website. We are also happy to try and source any celeb - local or international - you might be interested in. So please do not hesitate to contact us for a quotation on someone who is not listed here! 7. Can you give me the contact details for (a) celeb(s) that you represent?
We are an entertainment booking agency and do not act as a telephone directory for Artists' contact details. The celebs listed on our site can be booked for a variety of events and performance scenarios and we are always delighted to assist with booking enquiries. However, if you are looking for direct contact details for a particular Artist, please avoid calling our office as we will not be able to assist under any circumstances. Back to top
